Will do eventually Peter its just a bit of a pain with the torsion bar, i'll need front springs and new dampers aswell so not a cheap job and as i've spent nearly 1k since august already i need to save some pennies 1st

do what my mate chris (turbonutter) did when we lowered my sisters saxo, he made an adjuster that you bolt in where the shocker goes and you can wind it in and out to the desired amont you want to lower then put your torsion bar back in then when you do the other side it will be the same give or take a few mm. its a good days job i know (if everything comes undun)

Thanks for all the comments peeps, i really ought to have a look at some of your cars and return the compliments I've done a fair bit of research on the lowering of the car and getting the torsion bars out can be a big problem, alot of people on the 206 forum i use have found the bars are seized in and have damaged the trailing arm trying to knock the torsion bar out, i've been quoted 100 quid for fitting uprated dampers and front springs and lowering the torsion bar so its around 200 quid for a decent set up so its probably going to be summer before i can afford it, i'd like to put a gti interior in first tho ;D Then some 16" nimrods or 17" vortex's the list go's on and on

Bloody internet why does it always disconnect when your halfway thru writing a reply Thanks for the offer Pete very decent of you mate, tho it will be a while before i'll be able to afford the suspension i want. I'm sure you can do it on the cheap as in the standard shocks can take a drop of 30-40mm so all i'd need is some front springs but theres a good chance that could compromise the handling so i think i'd be better off waiting till i can get a good set of spax or bilsteins or eibach and do it all proper as i'd really like a drop of 40-50 any further and you have to think about rolloing the arches then your talking silly money But by all means run it past your guy and see what he could do for me ;D Much appreciation pal

yeh no probs we dropped my sisters saxo by 40mm and that was plenty. so it only cost her for 2 springs so was cheap to do. wanna see what clearance you got when you put bigger wheels on as that could be an issue for how much you can lower it. i know a mate of mine ordered wheels and while he was waiting for them to be shipped lowered his car by 60mm, got the wheels and they wouldnt clear the arches. looked poo hot mind woudnt of bin able to turn corners lol. come to a meet and he will have a chat with you about it, he will reply to this post when he can be arsed to.
