The air bag/ seat belt pretension light on my car flashes 4 times then goes of for 30 seconds then flashes 4 times again, then goes off for another 30 seconds and then it flashes another 4 times then stays on every time i start the car. I know it means that there is a fault but as it flashes in a sequence could it be possible to identify the fault by the way the light flashes. and how could i find out what it means or does any one know what it means?
Thanks Wayne

look under your drivers seat, there should be a little conector for the pre tentioners, have a look at that and see if its come loose, i know that can be a common fault on some fords, i know we get alot of mondeo/focus's at work with that problem, just have to tighten it up and it usually sorts it

when i had my saxo my air bag light stayed on constantly and when i got it look at, the little orange wire under the passenger seat had been trapped in the seat runner and cut in half, so had to buy a special connector for it....
