Thanks for the comments all! Ordered some stickers this week (you can tell funds are tight atm... just stickers!) got one white and one black CCC sticker and a 'charnwoodcarclub.co.uk' sticker in white to try out - I was thinking maybe a black CCC sticker on the matt black would look good and if it fits, the web address one in white one one C-pillar and 'in rust we trust' on the other c-pillar... thoughts?

OK boys and girls - about time I did an update! Things have changed a fair bit in the last two weeks! First up - brake lines are done, got these lovely bad boys for the car... Got all the new copper hard lines in over the rear axle too So with that done it was back out with the belt sander... So got the back end of the car done which is good! Then it was time at LONG last to drop her back down on her wheels! (albeit the old mismatched wheels with 3 different sizes as the new wheels are in storage!) More recently (ie yesterday) we also got to work on the roof - the last panel to do in matt black!! This time with a slightly more delicate hmmm - DIRTY! Unfortunately it was gone dark by the time we finished painting the car so there is no finished pictures but there will be soon when the new wheels go on and it starts to look more finished!

indeed - considering getting the wheels done before putting it on the road so it looks the part although the temptation to just put the wheels on and go is high! Should be ordering the new bits I need to finish it (poly bush for the front anti-roll bar, anti-roll bar drop links and side repeaters and possibly new discs and pads all round) this week ready for the weekend if possible :-D

new anti-roll bar drop links are in the post - gonna inspect the brakes tomorrow once the system is filled up as I think I might ditch the discs and pads all round as they are pretty rotten - might do a trail fit of the big brakes - see if I can work out what discs will fit and order the lot next week. Aiming to get some pictures of the whole paint job with the wheels on tomorrow!! :-D

Hi all - spent an hour or two on the car today! Got the front braided brake hoses on but forgot to get photos - I need to fill the brake system with dot4 next week so the wheels will have to come off again for that and I will get some shots. One thing I did get a photo of while it was light was this... the new addition to the dashboard (as its the only place I could think about putting it)... thank to Jay and Dave for that donation. I just hope I can actually reach it from the drivers side when I am harnessed up! We also dropped the oil and changed the plugs and filters ready for going on the road and dropped the handbrake off for the first time in about 2 years and it rolled freely so thats good news! The new rear discs and pads were put on order today as well as a new radiator cap which we discovered was perished rather badly. The new roof... The car looks a lot better now its on the real wheels - albeit sitting a bit high New wheels look meaty! :-D Thats about it for now - must of the work today was things you cant see like connecting up the cooling system and filling that up.. and of course starting the car up!! :-D Hopefully be getting the side skirts painted and back on soon to hide the red oxide sills then its MOT time pretty much... EEP! Right - that's all for now :-D
